Brief History

Power Dynamos was formed in 1971 as a youth football team in Kitwe’s Ndeke Township by Meyton Kaira.

In 1974, the team attracted the attention of Copperbelt Power Company (CPC) General Manager, Arthur Walter Davies who became the Club founder Chairman and influenced CPC to take up sponsorship of the Club. In 1975, the Club joined the Copperbelt Amateur Association league and two years later got promoted to Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Division one which is equivalent to the current FAZ super division league. In 1977, a stadium was built in Ndeke Township and named after the Club Chairman, Arthur Davies, a FIFA accredited referee whose passion for football and commitment to the Club can be credited for its strong foundation, sustained existence and success.
