by PDFC

May 19, 2024

In a week 32 fixture, Power Dynamos Football Club were unable to secure victory against the relegated Trident Football Club at Solwezi Independence Stadium on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

The match ended in a goalless draw, with both teams putting up a strong defensive performance.

This was after Power’s impressive 5-0 home victory over Forest Rangers in a mid-week fixture held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Red Arrows Football Club (RAFC) have emerged as the new league champions of the 2023-2024 FAZ/MTN Super League season, with Power Dynamos Football Club (PDFC), the recent past champions, currently sitting in third place with 52 points.

The ‘Aba Yellow’ are still vying for second place, which ZESCO United currently holds with 56 points.

PDFC Chief Executive Officer, Gibson Chaloba, has congratulated Red Arrows Football Club on their well-deserved championship triumph. He praised them for their outstanding consistency throughout the season.

“They were committed from the start, and their efforts have paid off. We also wish them well as they represent Zambia in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Championship,” he said.

In weeks 33 and 34, the team will play the last two games of the season at home against Mufulira Wanderers and away against NAPSA Stars.
